Our vascular medicine team’s leadership role on rapid response teams for pulmonary embolism and acute aortic syndromes demonstrates our commitment to multidisciplinary care. We also maintain a clinical, research and teaching interest in women’s cardiovascular health.
The vascular medicine team works closely with specialists in the prevention of heart and vascular disease who identify and treat patients with vascular disorders that contribute to atherosclerosis, or a build-up of cholesterol within the arteries. We also collaborate with the cardiovascular genetics team to provide a comprehensive approach to vascular disease as it impacts the patient and family members.
