Brigham Leadership Program

The Challenge: To implement the strategies of Brigham and Women’s, we must ensure our hospital leaders know how to lead complex projects and teams. Our Solution: The Brigham Leadership Program (BLP) is a joint program with Harvard Business School that was launched in 2007. It is a seventh month program that teaches BWH clinical and non-clinical leaders critical skills in leadership & management, finance, operations, strategy, and decision making. The course concludes with the presentation of team projects that are sponsored by senior Brigham leaders.

Results to date: Over 400 clinical and administrative leaders have participated in BLP through the program’s 7th cohort, in 2018.
