Redesigning Care Through Physician Engagement

BWH and the BWPO are both actively involved with engaging our clinicians in areas involving process improvement, leadership tools, and managing rising healthcare costs. We believe that if we are going to effectively redesign the way we provide care to our patients, we must first engage our clinicians and care teams in this effort.

Providing training and education in clinical care redesign and process improvement tools via the Clinical Process Improvement Leadership Program (CPIP) and the Brigham Leadership Program (BLP) are ways that the BWPO, BWH, Partners Healthcare, and Harvard Business School support and engage Brigham and Women’s clinicians. We promote physician engagement via the Clinical Care Redesign and Contracts Committee and Specialty Pharmacy efforts by facilitating physicians and leaders to learn from each other, brainstorm together, and develop potential solutions for challenging issues across the boundaries of medical specialties.
