Virtual Care

At Brigham and Women's, we aim to give our patients convenient ways to access care. Our Virtual Care services at the Brigham include Virtual Visits, e-Visits and Second Opinions, as well as multiple provider-to-provider programs.

Virtual Visits are one-on-one video appointments with your Brigham provider. For your initial appointment, you will meet with your provider in their office and discuss the possibility of including Virtual Visits as part of your care plan.

e-Visits are a way to care for certain symptoms without having to make an appointment or going into your provider’s office. To start an E-Visit, you will be asked some questions about your symptoms through an online questionnaire on Patient Gateway.

Second Opinions are physician-to-physician second opinion service that help patients and their local physicians obtain second opinions from the specialists at Brigham and Women’s Hospital without needing to travel to Boston. Simply register as a patient, and ask your physician to request the second opinion on your behalf. We make it easy for you and/or your physician to share your clinical records, so our Brigham and Women’s Hospital specialist can provide your second opinion.
