The Challenge

Healthcare interactions – in our practices and hospitals – are complicated and confusing. Care providers convey large amounts of information to patients which can be difficult to absorb in the moment, and even harder to retain after the fact. This loss of information leads to unanswered questions, confused plans, and poor adherence to care.

Our Solution

Vidscrips are brief videos, made by our providers and staff to capture the information they provide in care settings, that are available for patients and their family members to watch at home.

Results to date

Brigham and Women's providers and staff have recorded dozens of vidscrips (viewed thousands of times) on a wide range of topics including: introducing members of the care team, preparing for different types of visits, managing diabetes, maintaining proper nutrition, and undergoing diagnostic testing – just to name a few.
