Neuroscience Intermediate Care Symposium

The Neuroscience Intermediate Care Symposium is an 8-hour classroom and practice session designed to prepare and support the nurses caring for our complex Neuroscience patients.  Collaborative demonstration of education provided by our BWH Stroke Program Manager, Neuroscience Professional Development Manager and clinical expert neuroscience nurses.  Topics include but not limited to:  Strokes, Neuro exam, Seizures & Seizure Precautions, Spinal precautions, Dysphagia Screening, Insulin Control in the acute care setting for the diabetic and non-diabetic.  Mandatory for all new hires to the Neuroscience Intermediate Care areas and intermediate float pool. Great refresher for all those interest in a multitude of neuro topics.

Each Symposium session is held from 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM.  Please register through Healthstream searching by course name or course date.
