Karsh Visiting Scholar Program

Established in 2009, through the generosity of Mrs. Estrellita Karsh, the annual Estrellita and Yousuf Karsh Visiting Scholar program sponsors a nationally or internationally known and respected nursing leader to spend one or two days at BWH to engage in conversations with clinical nurses about nursing care, practice and their research.

In addition to introducing BWH nurses to distinguished nursing leaders and diverse clinical approaches to care, the program celebrates the excellence that resides within BWH Nursing by offering opportunities for BWH nurses to share their work.

We proudly hosted our inaugural Karsh Nursing Scholars Day in 2019.
