Nurses as Lifelong Learners

Education and scholarship at the Brigham and Women’s Hospital Department of Nursing are ongoing, comprehensive and designed to meet the unique interests of nurses at all stages of practice. Through innovative evidence-informed and theory-guided teaching, we provide our nurses with the opportunities to advance their practice and engage in lifelong learning.

There are a variety of clinical and professional development opportunities at BWH for nurses at all levels of practice, from workshops and e-learning, to coaching in the clinical setting and team simulation. Some of our educational efforts were developed by BWH nurses and others are led by schools and universities or other professional institutions.
