In addition to our formal awards and recognition programs, we believe that each of us has a responsibility for recognizing the expertise, skill, compassion and care our colleagues bring into their practice each day. Doing this ensures that we have a thriving professional practice environment of mutual respect and support.
The Department of Nursing offers a wide variety of awards and scholarships to recognize nurses for their outstanding achievements and provide funding for nurses to return to school or pursue special projects that ultimately will enhance our understanding of our patients and their needs.
