The Patient as a Source of Evidence

As important as each member of the interprofessional team is to meeting patient-centered outcomes, we recognize that no team is complete without the patient.

The patient and their family are the most knowledgeable about their life, their unique responses to their illness and how they best cope. Thus, the patient is as much a source of evidence as the latest study and research.

This is one more way BWH nurses place the relationship with patients at the center of all we do.
