Opened in 2008, this Boston cardiology and vascular disease treatment center is a world-class medical facility staffed by some of the country's leading cardiology and vascular care specialists. Patients at the Center receive the most innovative and comprehensive care for diseases of the heart, circulatory system and blood vessels.

The Center has the most comprehensive team of cardiologists, cardiac surgeons, vascular surgeons, cardiac anesthesiologists, cardiovascular radiologists, cardiovascular nurses and other health care professionals who collaborate closely and coordinate efforts to offer each patient the most advanced care possible.

The Center's cardiology medicine research program is world-renowned and has helped produce many new therapies for cardiology and vascular disease treatment. Clinical trials have helped demonstrate, for instance, that thrombolytic therapy could significantly raise a patient's chances for survival after a heart attack, and aspirin can help prevent a heart attack, that ACE inhibitors could have a life-saving impact, and that cholesterol-lowering medicine could help save the lives of patients after a first heart attack.

From heart failure treatment to bypass surgery to mitral valve replacement, services at the Center are provided with the care and compassion one expects from an institution that has consistently received praise as one of America's best hospitals.
