The BWH Endoscopy Center at 850 Boylston, led by Medical Director John Saltzman, MD, offers evaluations and treatments for disorders of the small bowel, colon, stomach, esophagus, and the biliary/pancreatic system. The program’s world-class reputation is evidenced by its status as one of only 17 endoscopy programs in the world to be named as a Center of Excellence by the World Organization of Digestive Endoscopy.
As an integral member of the BWH Crohn's and Colitis team and located at the BWH Crohn's and Colitis Center, we offer the latest in surveillance techniques. We also offer therapeutic endoscopy procedures such as balloon dilation of strictures often associated with inflammatory bowel disease. This technique can often allow us to avoid surgery for patients in certain instances.
