The Brigham and Women’s Liver (Hepatology) Program

For the highly-trained physicians and staff of the Liver Program at Brigham and Women's Hospital, our mission is to keep your liver healthy. We accomplish this by providing top-quality patient care, conducting cutting-edge research, and educating the next generation of liver scientists and clinicians.

The members of the Liver Program are experienced in the diagnosis and care of individuals with all types of liver disorders. They provide expert management of the complications of liver disease, such as cirrhosis, ascites, varices, hepatic encephalopathy and liver cancer. The liver specialists (hepatologists) are skilled in the management of patients before and after liver transplantation and serve of the faculty of the Mass General Brigham Liver Transplant Program.
