Appointments

Office hours are arranged between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. Doctors' individual schedules vary within these times. If you have an urgent medical problem during normal office hours, please call the office and leave a detailed message with your physician's nurse. Your call will be returned as soon as possible after conferring with the physician. If you need to be seen in the office, an appointment will be scheduled with your physician, one of our urgent care providers, or another BPG physician. We do not have walk-in appointments.

If you are unable to keep your appointment please give us at least 24 hours notice of this cancellation. If you arrive more than 15 minutes late for your appointment, you may be asked to reschedule.

Emergency and After Hours Care

For urgent medical problems after regular business hours, a physician may be reached by calling 617-732-9900. Calls are answered 24 hours per day, 7 days per week. The answering service will relay urgent messages to your physician or the physician who is on call. Your call will be returned as quickly as possible.

If the situation is life threatening, dial 911 for assistance or go directly to the nearest Emergency Department.

After hours and weekend calls should be restricted to URGENT issues only; any calls regarding non-urgent issues will be referred to the office during regular business hours.

Prescription refills, referrals and other non-urgent matters will only be handled during regular business hours.

Weekend Care

Weekend care is available on Saturday and Sunday for our patients with medical issues that cannot wait until Monday. Weekend care is available by APPOINTMENT ONLY at the Brigham and Women's Faulkner Hospital. Patients need to speak with the provider on call, who will then contact the staff at weekend care before you can schedule an appointment. Weekend care does not have walk-in appointments.
