Appointment Information for South Huntington Primary Care

We work very hard to make sure that you are able to get care at our office. For this to happen we have some policies in place to help everything go smoothly.

Scheduling Appointments

Please call us or use Patient Gateway to schedule an appointment. We ask you call as early in the day as possible in order for us to do our best to offer a same day appointment. We try to schedule you with your primary care provider or another member of your team. Please provide as much notice as possible to cancel or reschedule an appointment.

Late and Missed Appointments

If you arrive late, we will do our best to see you while being fair to all our other patients. If you arrive more than halfway through your appointment, we may not be able to see you. (Most appointments are 20 minutes and physicals are 40 minutes.) If you do not call to reschedule and do not come to the appointment, you will receive a letter with our missed appointment policy which states that after three missed appointments, we will ask that you find another primary care practice.

Test Results

We will let you know the results of all testing and what it means within 7-10 days of the results becoming available. We will call you right away with any concerning results.

Interpreter Services

We use Pacific Interpreter Phone Services for your translation needs. We serve patients of all backgrounds who speak many different languages and want to ensure that you feel comfortable speaking to our providers in your native language.

Specialty Referrals

If you need a specialist or radiology appointment, we can refer you to Brigham and Women’s Hospital or Faulkner Hospital. Once your provider puts in the request, we guide you every step of the way to ensure your appointment is scheduled.

Inpatient Coverage

When admitted to Brigham and Women’s and Faulkner Hospitals our patients are under the care of a hospital-based doctor who will communicate with us during your stay. Our Nurse Care Coordinator will follow up with you after discharge. We would like to see you in our office within 3 days after you leave the hospital.
