Clinical Services
We are one of only a handful of dedicated non-malignant hematologic disorders clinics in the country. Our physicians care for patients with a wide range of non-malignant hematologic conditions, including anemia, sickle cell disease, hemoglobinopathies, myelodysplastic disorders, diseases affecting platelet number and function, bleeding disorders, and hypercoagulable states. The majority are seen in the Adult Hematology Clinic at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute and Brigham and Women’s Faulkner Hospital. Adult patients with hemophilia are seen through the Boston Hemophilia Center, a joint venture with Children’s Hospital Boston. We also have an anticoagulation clinic at Brigham and Women’s Hospital in the Shapiro Center.
Research and Clinical Trials
The Division of Hematology conducts laboratory and clinical research. Our scientific and clinical research faculty and coordinators combine their energies to find “bench to bedside” solutions to improve the care and treatment of patients with hematologic disorders.
We have many active clinical trials for patients who are interested.
