Your First Visit to the Division of Infectious Diseases

When you arrive, please check in with the receptionist. You may find it helpful to bring a date book or calendar to keep track of your appointments and tests. You will also be given a new patient brochure. We encourage you to bring someone with you for support.

Ideally, we will be able to tell you in advance the duration of your visit. We make every effort to keep to our schedule but, unforeseen delays do occur. In the event that you do have to wait, please refer to the “While You Are Here” section of the site for ideas on how to help pass the time. Please note that we do have multiple clinical services on our unit so, patients may be seen in a different order than their arrival.

You may be asked to complete paperwork while you are waiting for your provider. If you received this paperwork in the mail prior to your appointment, please bring it with you.

After your appointment, please check at the main desk. The clinic coordinator can help you to schedule your next appointment or any tests, if needed.

Subsequent Visits

To change your appointment for any reason please call the office at (617) 732-8881 as early as possible. We ask that you notify us of a cancellation at least 24 hours in advance of your appointment.
