Nine BWHers have been honored by the Harvard Medical School graduating class of 2014 with Resident and Fellow Recognition Awards. The Harvard Gazette featured one of BWH's new medicine interns, Roshan Sethi. Roshan, along with his twin brother Rosh, are both recent Harvard Medical School graduates. The article highlights how Roshan and Rosh became interested in different fields of medicine, the valuable experiences they've had thus far, and how they will continue their career paths both working at Partners- affiliated hospitals. The month of May is a very busy time for the residency program. A favorite event amongst the housestaff is called, Medicine and the Muse, which took place on May 12th. It is a night where current housestaff and faculty can share their talents in art, music and dance. We also have a silent auction and raffle which all the proceeds benefit the organization, Physicians for Haiti.
Resident Research Forum is another annual event we have, which took place on May 30th. This is a time when senior residents can showcase their research to peers and faculty. We had 2 guest speakers as well: Dr. Jospeh Loscalzo, Chairman of Department of Medicine and Dr. Eugene Braunwald, former Chairman of Department of Medicine.
Match Day 2014 took place on Friday, March 21, 2014. The program hosted our annual Match Day celebration at the hospital in Carrie Hall.
