The Division of Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine at Brigham and Women’s Hospital (BWH), provides personalized care for patients who have respiratory conditions and diseases. Our board-certified pulmonologists—fellowship trained in both pulmonology and critical care medicine—provide state-of-the-art diagnosis and treatment services, including interventional pulmonology.
Working closely with the Division of Thoracic Surgery, we are an integral part of The Lung Center, a unique collaboration of experts at BWH who care for the full range of pulmonary conditions, from inherited diseases such as cystic fibrosis, to chronic asthma and complex tumors, to lung failure requiring lung transplantation. Named among the top pulmonary centers in the country by U.S. News & World Report, BWH is consistently recognized as a top hospital in the nation.
Our pulmonary medicine physicians are faculty members at Harvard Medical School. They train the next generation through the Harvard-BWH Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine Fellowship Program. The Lung Research Center at the Brigham Research Institute integrates patient care with scientific discovery to better understand pulmonary disease while pursuing life-changing treatments and cures.
