Division of Hospital Neurology

Hospital Neurology

The Division of Hospital Neurology at Brigham and Women's Hospital (BWH) was founded in 2011. It consists of a team of skilled neuro-hospitalists. Neuro-hospitalists are experts in the inpatient care of patients with neurologic diseases. The Division has the first academic neuro-hospitalist service among Harvard Medical School's affiliated hospitals, and one of only a few such programs nationwide. It has grown to include a group of five neurologists who focus their clinical practice on providing accurate diagnosis and effective treatment of any disease arising from or affecting the nervous system.

The Division, led by Joshua Klein, MD, PhD, is one of 14 clinical Divisions in the Department of Neurology, each of which has experts spanning all sub-specialties of Neurology. The Division has extensive clinical and research collaborations with Neurosurgery, Neuroradiology, Neuro-Oncology, and Psychiatry and our interdisciplinary Neurosciences Center of Excellence in the Building for Transformative Medicine.
