Stroke and Cerebrovascular Diseases

The Division of Stroke and Cerebrovascular Diseases is part of the Comprehensive Stroke Center at Brigham and Women's Hospital. Led by Division Chief Christopher D. Anderson, MD, MMSc, FAAN, the Center provides early intervention and advanced diagnosis for patients with acute stroke and other critical neurological conditions. Specialists apply innovative, multimodality treatments designed to address each patient’s specific needs and improve the outcome of patients with stroke and cerebrovascular disease. In addition, with the Mass General Brigham Telestroke Center, our specialists can help diagnose and treat patients at remote hospitals. In addition, the Division offers a variety of research and clinical trial opportunities aimed at studying the outcomes of stroke and other cerebrovascular diseases, to ultimately improve the quality of life for those challenged by the effects of stroke.
