Gynecologic-Oncology Program

The Gynecologic Oncology Program at Dana-Farber Brigham and Women’s Cancer Center provides multidisciplinary care and treatment of patients with gynecologic cancer including ovarian, uterine, cervical, vulvar, vaginal cancers, and gestational trophoblastic disease. The Gynecologic Oncology Program unites specialist from one of the world’s leading cancer institutes with experts from our top-ranked hospital. The Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the Brigham & Women’s Hospital is ranked #1 in the United States.

Our Gynecologic Oncology Program team includes physician leaders in surgical gynecologic oncology, medical oncology, gynecologic pathology, and radiation oncology, working alongside nurses, geneticists, infertility specialists, sexual health specialists, pharmacists, social workers, palliative care specialists and researchers. The experts on our team continually collaborates with each other and with patients and family to insure the best possible outcome – medically, emotionally, and spiritually. Specialist in surgery, chemotherapy, radiation medicine and pathology are completely focused on the care of women with gynecologic cancer. Our surgical gynecologic oncologists are committed to advancing minimally invasive surgery to maintain the highest possible cure rates while minimizing complications and preserving fertility.

The Pap Smear Evaluation Center is recognized internationally as a foremost center for early detection and treatment. The New England Trophoblastic Disease Center has the largest clinical experience in North America and internationally recognized for research.

Patients has access to a wide range of established and experimental therapy. Our specialists are dedicated to providing the best possible current treatment and to advance therapy of gynecologic cancer through laboratory and clinical research. Our gynecologic oncology clinical trials program is one of the most active in the United States and brings promising new research treatments directly from the laboratory to patient care.
