Endometriosis Treatment Overview

The Boston Center for Endometriosis, created by Dr. Marc Laufer in 2012, brings together physician leaders in the field of endometriosis from the Center for Infertility and Reproductive Surgery at Brigham and Women’s Hospital and Boston Children’s Hospital to provide expert care and treatment for women and adolescents suffering from this reproductive disorder.

Endometriosis is a condition in some women that occurs when the cells that normally line the inside of the uterus (endometrial cells) are found in other parts of the body. Women who have endometriosis symptoms may experience significant pain, infertility or both.
