Maternal-fetal medicine specialists at Brigham and Women’s Hospital combine expertise and compassion to help our patients achieve the best possible outcomes for themselves and their families. Our comprehensive high-risk pregnancy services include:
Each mother has a team of providers led by her maternal-fetal medicine specialist. Depending on an individual’s needs, the team may include anesthesiologists, other physician specialists, nurses, genetic counselors and social workers. We work closely with our ultrasonographers, nutritionists, medical care, and practice assistants. Your team will coordinate and manage your care before, during, and after your pregnancy. After the baby’s birth, families benefit from our team of postpartum nurses, lactation consultants, parent educators, and pediatricians.
Our practice assistants can help you schedule appointments. You can speak with them directly between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. at (617) 732-4840.
We are committed to providing the highest quality obstetric care, with a focus on patient safety. Through daily safety rounds, weekly team meetings, monthly case reviews, and quality and safety research, we constantly strive for excellence.
