Returning patients can also use Patient Gateway to schedule a follow-up appointment. If you don’t have a Patient Gateway account, please enroll today. Patient Gateway is a convenient and secure way to manage your health and communicate with your doctor's office online.

Physician Referrals and Patient Transfers

To reach a physician at the Division of Maternal-Fetal Medicine, or to receive additional information about maternal-fetal medicine services, call (617) 732-4840. This number is staffed 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday. A representative can direct you to the physician with whom you wish to speak. To facilitate consultations and second opinions, please call 617-732-4208 Through the Center for Fetal Medicine perinatal consult service, urgent consultations can be arranged within 24 hours. Mass General Brigham’ physicians who would like to request a consultation are encouraged to use the Physician Gateway system.

Inpatient transfer services are handled by Mass General Brigham MDConnect. MDConnect is a joint program between Brigham and Women’s Hospital and Massachusetts General Hospital, serving as a community physician's direct link to the transfer and transport services of these hospitals. With one call, MDConnect will coordinate timely communication between referring and receiving physicians, locate inpatient beds, and arrange transport. Ground-based, mobile ICUs, staffed with specially trained nurses and paramedics, are also available through this service. To reach Mass General Brigham MDConnect call (877) 637-3337.

Our Physicians

Under the leadership of Louise E. Wilkins-Haug, MD, PhD, the Division of Maternal-Fetal Medicine offers women and infants the most advanced maternity care available, including state-of-the-art prenatal screening, diagnosis and fetal therapy. Our maternal-fetal medicine physicians, who are faculty at Harvard Medical School, deliver expert, personalized care to women who have complications identified prior to or during pregnancy and their unborn babies. They are assisted by a dedicated team of nurses, clinical staff and administrative assistants.

Our Locations

We provide complete pregnancy care at Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston, and consultative and ultrasound services at Newton-Wellesley Hospital in Newton, Emerson Hospital in Concord, and Exeter Hospital in Exeter, NH. Continuity high risk care can also be arranged at the BWH facilities at Foxborough.
