We are a community health center-based practice with locations throughout Boston. Our patients receive prenatal care at these locations with their primary midwife and deliver their babies at Brigham and Women’s Hospital. We have one prenatal clinic located at Brigham and Women’s Hospital that serves women aged 25 and younger called Adolescent Reproductive Health Services. Adolescent Reproductive Health Services (ARHS) is a hospital-based clinic that has been providing care to young women in Boston for over three decades. The midwives in ARHS provide prenatal, postpartum, family planning and gynecological care to women aged 25 years and younger in both English and Spanish. The midwives provide age appropriate care in a safe, confidential environment. Please visit our Midwife Biographies page to see which midwives practice at this location.
Each patient is also connected with a designated social worker who can help with issues including housing, school, childbirth education, and preparing for the baby. In addition, the midwives and social worker connect patients to external resources, such as the Young Parents Program at Children's Hospital of Boston and the Healthy Baby Program of Boston, which will help support them through their journey into parenthood. After delivery, the midwives provide full-scope contraceptive and GYN services.
