With specialized research and services designed for pregnant women and their families, our experts do everything possible to provide the most advanced obstetrical care available.

Our comprehensive pregnancy services include:

  • General Obstetrics provides comprehensive prenatal services and delivery for mothers and babies as well as routine and special gynecologic care;
  • Center for Women and Newborns at Mary Horrigan Connors Center for Women’s Health is dedicated to providing the most comprehensive range of state-of-the art obstetrical services, under one roof;
  • Maternal-Fetal Medicine (High-Risk Obstetrics) provides advanced, multidisciplinary care for women who are identified with complications prior to or during pregnancy. Specialty clinics include the maternal cardiovascular clinic, maternal diabetes clinic and a clinic for women at risk for preterm delivery or cervical incompetence.
  • Comprehensive Care Center for Multiples provides care, support and education for mothers and families who are expecting twins, triplets or high-order multiples. Our multidisciplinary team of experts collaborate to ensure patients feel healthy, confident and cared for during their multiple pregnancy and beyond;
  • Center for Fetal Medicine and Prenatal Genetics provides comprehensive assessment and treatment of fetal disease, genetic counseling and fetal ultrasound. We work closely with the specialists in our state-of-the-art Neonatal Intensive Care Unit for babies who require intensive, specialized care;
  • Midwifery provides expert midwife care for mothers and babies before, during and after birth;
  • Pediatrics, which is staffed by expert neonatologists and other specialists, cares for newborns at Brigham and Women’s Hospital and is specially equipped to care for infants as young as 23 weeks gestation;
  • Subspecialty Services works with specialists in departments across BWH to address the needs of pregnant women with co-existing medical conditions – including cardiovascular disease, epilepsy, lupus, diabetes, and bone and joint disease.
