The Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Brigham and Women's Hospital, along with its many faculty members and researchers, is dedicated to providing patients and their families with the most advanced care available anywhere.

As a teaching hospital of Harvard Medical School, the Brigham is world-renowned for expertise in gynecology and obstetrics. We have been a trusted name in women’s health for more than 175 years. Our rich history includes landmark research that has helped guide the care provided to patients around the world.

Nawal Nour, MD, chair of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Brigham and Women’s Hospital, describes the department’s wide range of specialized services and programs from common to the most complex conditions.

Our commitment to patient- and family-focused care has shaped our Center for Women and Newborns at the Mary Horrigan Connors Center for Women’s Health. We provide the most state-of-the-art obstetrical and neonatal care under one roof.

The department supports women through all stages of life and works collaboratively with specialists to provide comprehensive care. These specialties include cardiovascular medicine, orthopaedics, arthritis, and neurology.
