Acupuncture

Acupuncture is a healing system, used for centuries in China, based on the theory that human beings and all living things experience movements in energy which circulate in regular patterns. The practice consists of the insertion of thin sterile disposable needles into the body to treat specific health concerns. The energy or life force referred to as Qi (Chi) travels along meridians or channels. When Qi is in a state of excess, depletion or stagnation a decline in health will occur. Acupuncture acts to guide the Qi back to a state of balance, restoring health. Learn more about acupuncture.

Tai Chi

The Chinese martial and healing art of tai chi chuan (taijiquan) seeks to integrate body, mind and breath into a complete, unified exercise for the entire being. With roots in Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) and Eastern philosophy, tai chi's slow, gentle movements emphasize relaxation and deeper awareness of body and self. The ultimate goal of tai chi, like acupuncture, is the free flow of qi – energy flow that sustains living beings – throughout the body, thereby healing the systems that have become imbalanced and further strengthening the systems that are already robust.
