Corson Thoracic Pathology Fellowship

In recognition of the extensive contribution to the field of thoracic pathology by Dr. Joseph Corson, the Corson Thoracic Pathology Fellowship program was established.

This 1-year program offers training in all aspects of pulmonary pathology including both neoplastic and medical diseases.

In thoracic neoplasia, emphasis is on the etiology and pathogenesis of mesothelioma and lung cancers, along with the latest clinical and molecular diagnostic tools. In non-neoplastic lung disease, interstitial lung diseases, lung transplant pathology, and granulomatous lung diseases are the focus of diagnostic training with complementary interactive clinical conferences.

Teaching at Harvard Medical School is expected of the fellow, as is the participation in at least one research project.

Requirements

Applicants must have satisfactorily completed residency training in anatomic pathology.
