Specialized Histopathology (SHP) Core
The Specialized Histopathology (SHP) Core provides consultative and interpretive pathology services including high quality, timely, state-of-the-art analysis of tissues obtained from a variety of experimental systems, including rodents, fish, and monkeys. This Core also provides professional expertise to assist in experimental design and the development and interpretation of tests and their results.

Tissue MicroArray Core
The Tissue Microarray (TMA) Core generates tissue microarrays that allow hundreds of tumors and samples to be evaluated on a single slide, maximizing precious tissue resources. The Core also provides access to TMA Profiler, a Web-based database that facilitates data dissemination and sharing.

Cytogenetics Core
The Cytogenetics Core provides insight into regions of the genome that are pathogenetic in various neoplasms, leading to an understanding of the molecular pathways that play a role in the biology of cancer. The Cytogenetics Core provides conventional metaphase karyotyping and a comprehensive menu of molecular cytogenetic methods.

Pathology Specimen Locator Core
The Pathology Specimen Locator (PSL) provides investigators with formalin-fixed paraffin embedded material (FFPE) from BWH and Faulkner Hospital to promote and facilitate research. All tissue requested must be for research and clinical trials with approved IRB protocols. The PSL core also offers other services such as data search and review, slide screening and project management. Each request must be completed via the DF/HCC online request system.
