Concierge and Accommodations

Traveling abroad for medical care may seem overwhelming, especially during this time of COVID-19. Our International Patient Center team will guide you on every step of your treatment journey – before, during and after your time in Boston.

The International Patient Center Guest Services Manager can arrange your travel and accommodations, including airport pickup and ground or air ambulance. Once you arrive in Boston, they can arrange meals honoring your dietary requirements, special cultural or religious needs, and concierge services for shopping and other needs.

While you’re at Brigham and Women’s Hospital, our new International Patient Center lounge provides a luxurious, private space for you to spend time between appointments with physical distancing measures in place to prevent transmission of infections. The lounge features complimentary beverages, work areas and wireless internet access. The lounge connects with newly renovated examination rooms for our international patients. If you have a test or procedure in another area of the hospital, a patient navigator will walk you to your destination.

If you are receiving inpatient care, our Shapiro Tower Pavilion is an option for patients seeking first-class accommodations. With spacious, private rooms and luxurious amenities, the Shapiro Pavilion provides the comfort and convenience found at most fine hotels – alongside the latest medical equipment to deliver advanced care. In addition to the hospital’s outstanding nursing care, private duty nurses and nurse assistants can also be arranged.

The International Patient Center has space for prayer, meditation and relaxation, with safety measures in place to ensure we're providing our patients the safest possible environment. In addition, the hospital chapel is open 7 days a week, and our Spiritual Care Services Department has chaplains who provide emotional, spiritual and religious support. The chaplains include fluent speakers of many languages, and they can also partner with your International Patient Center Patient program manager to provide support in your preferred language and faith tradition.
