Matching

Once an applicant is matched to the BWH Internship, they must call 617-732-5593 to confirm acceptance by the following day. At this time, the individual can state their preferred start date. Start dates are based on a first-come, first serve basis.

The program dates for the Internship Class of 2024-2025 are:

  • August entry: 8/05/24 - 6/27/25
  • October entry: 10/07/24 - 8/29/25 (pending number of matched applicants)

Please note that the Master’s Degree conferment date and Didactic Program in Dietetics (DPD) Completion Date on the final Verification Statement must be prior to the entry date.

Once an applicant is matched and a start date is determined, BWH will contact the applicant to start the on boarding process. Our dietetic interns are subject to the same screening process as other hospital staff or trainees (such as verification of identity, background checks and medical documentation including current vaccinations).

Please note that all application materials become the property of Brigham and Women's Hospital and cannot be returned.

Pre-Select Internship Options:

For individuals who are still looking to pursue their master’s degree, we also offer “pre-select” options. Applications are due December 15, 2023.

If you have questions about these options, please contact Associate Director of the Dietetic Internship, Mary Ellen Kelly mkelly1@bwh.harvard.edu.
