Women's Health Physical Therapy Residency

The Department of Rehabilitation Services is pleased to announce a new clinical residency program for physical therapists interested in pursuing a residency in women’s health physical therapy. The residency is designed to offer practicing physical therapists an opportunity to acquire advanced evidence-based clinical knowledge and clinical skills while working with clinical specialist physical therapists and advanced practitioners.

The residency program consists of a full-time 12-month experience in the Department of Rehabilitation Services at the Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston, Massachusetts and the Ambulatory Center in Chestnut Hill, Massachusetts. The program offers the physical therapist opportunities to advance their knowledge and skills through higher continuing education, evidenced based practice, and management of diverse male and female pelvic floor diagnoses, ante- and post-partum clients, as well as lymphedema patient populations. Additionally the resident will be able to participate in other related educational opportunities.

The application period is currently open until January 30th for the year that you are applying for.

Here is the link to the APTA online residency application system for applicants if you would prefer to apply though the ABPTRFE portal.
