Family Liaison Waiting Area

The Family Liaison Waiting Area is located in the Bretholtz Center in the main lobby of the hospital. Here, our staff uses a computerized tracking system to update family and friends regarding progress of a patient's surgery or other complicated procedure. The staff maintains the name and location of the person to be notified when the patient's procedure is completed, and assigns beepers for those wishing to leave the area. Patients' belongings are logged in and stored until the patient has been assigned to a post-operative room. The family is informed of the room assignment and the estimated time for the patient to be transferred.
