Donald Proby

Donald ProbyDonald is the director of the Office of Mediation, Coaching, Ombuds and Support Services (OMCOSS) at Brigham and Women's Hospital. In conjunction with system-wide initiatives on culture transformation and patient and staff experience, OMCOSS is focused on supporting the Brigham workforce in learning from healthy conflict and the opportunities for human development that it brings.

Donald has worked as a conflict transformation practitioner, mediator, leadership development educator and facilitator of adult learning and transformative pedagogies since the 1980s. His work has crossed sectors that include government, public health, social services, mental health and higher education. Donald’s work focuses on restorative practices aimed at intercultural, interpersonal and intrapersonal connection across all domains of human systems.

He is currently a doctoral candidate in educational leadership, focusing on social justice, organizational change and peace-building.
