Chronic Illness Recovery Program

The Chronic Illness Recovery Program (CIRP) focuses on improving the quality of life for individuals/people with chronic medical illness and/or those recovering from a critical illness. Our practice is grounded in the principles of Trauma-Informed Care. CIRP is staffed by a multidisciplinary team of mental health providers who recognize the unique mental health challenges facing those with chronic medical conditions including potentially traumatic experiences with their illness and within the medical system. We are committed to facilitating a strengths-based and collaborative approach to care that supports patients’ resilience and development of positive coping strategies. Our individualized treatment plans may include psychiatric and psychosocial evaluations, psychiatric treatment, care management and group therapies, as well as collaboration with other medical providers and specialists.
