Radiation Oncology Care for Adults

The Brigham and Women's Hospital Radiation Oncology Department offers patients a full range of advanced treatment techniques in radiation therapy and personalized treatment plans to match the needs of every patient. Our clinicians, who care for patients as part of Dana-Farber Brigham Cancer Center and Dana-Farber/Boston Children's Cancer and Blood Disorders Center, are internationally recognized experts in the development and delivery of the advanced therapies and cutting-edge procedures we perform. We are also intensely focused on supporting patient and family needs. We strive to create a professional and compassionate environment, recognizing that each cancer and each patient is different. We are devoted to helping people fight cancer by offering highly advanced treatment with compassion and care.

New patients are seen in one of 12 specialized centers, each devoted to a different type of cancer. Our experts work closely together to offer patients the latest therapies and clinical services, as well as access to innovative clinical trials.

Radiation treatments take place in one of our radiation clinics, which are equipped with the most up-to-date technology for treating each specific type of cancer.

Follow-up visits after radiation may take place either in the radiation clinic or in one of the disease-specific centers. For prostate cancer patients, we also offer our Virtual Prostate Cancer Clinic.
