Clinical Fellowship in Abdominal Imaging and Intervention
Combined Two-year Program in Abdominal Imaging and Intervention and Evidence-Based Imaging and Informatics (CEBI)
A unique fellowship opportunity is available for one of the seven Abdominal Imaging and Intervention fellows each year. This two-year program is comprised of a full ACGME-accredited clinical fellowship in Abdominal Imaging and Intervention followed by a one year program in radiologic informatics and evidence-based imaging supplemented with a seven-week full time intensive educational program at the Harvard School of Public Health's Clinical Effectiveness Program.
Up to 20% of the clinical year (first year) will be spent on informatics research projects and 20% of the research year (second year) in the clinical division. Research opportunities are broad and can be tailored to the interests of the candidate. Current projects include work on evidence-based imaging, clinical decision support, advanced visualization tools and radiation reduction strategies. Research time takes place at the Center for Evidence-Based Imaging (CEBI), a Brigham-established institute founded with the goals of improving quality, safety and efficiency of care through innovative technologies. After completion of the Summer Program in Clinical Effectiveness (at the start of the research year), there will be an option to continue on towards the Masters in Public Health (MPH).
All candidates interested in this combined two-year fellowship (Abdominal Imaging and Intervention and Center for Evidence-Based Imaging) should indicate their interest in the Abdominal Imaging and Intervention Fellowship application.
