Clinical Fellowship in Abdominal Imaging and Intervention

Combined Two-year Program in Abdominal Imaging and Intervention and Image Guidance, Precision Diagnosis and Therapy

A unique fellowship opportunity is available for one of the twelve Abdominal Imaging and Intervention fellows each year. This two-year program is comprised of a full ACGME-accredited clinical fellowship in Abdominal Imaging and Intervention followed by combined program available through Institutional NIH T32 training grant in Image Guidance, Precision Diagnosis and Therapy within the Ferenc Jolesz National Center for Image Guided Therapy. Applicants for this fellowship would complete a focused year of research training after completion of the clinical AII fellowship year. Eligibility

PGY-5, completion of diagnostic radiology residency, ABR-eligible or certified and completion of the USMLE I, II, and III.

  5. Three letters of recommendation from faculty members (one from your radiology residency program director)
  6. Your USMLE scores: step 1, step 2 and step 3
  7. Foreign applicants must submit a copy of their ECFMG certificate (upload via online application form)

Interview Process

Selected applicants are invited for interview and a visit to the Department. Interviews will be scheduled for September and October. Admissions will be on a rolling basis. Positions will be offered and the number of positions will decrease accordingly.

The fellowship program provides protected time for an extensive array of educational lectures, specifically designed for fellows. A total of 4 weeks of elective time is offered. Fellowship duration is nominally 1 year; 2-year fellowships are also offered.
