Department of Radiology

About Department of Radiology

BWH Radiology has been a leader in the tri-partite mission of teaching, research and patient care for nearly 100 years with many first in kind innovations developed in this department over the decades. However, healthcare reform and the triple aim of improving the patient experience of care, the health of populations, while reducing the per capita cost of delivering that care is refocusing our efforts towards better patient outcomes.

Our aim is to be the global leader in delivering patient centered cost-effective outcomes in Radiology through the integration of its world class teaching, research and clinical innovations and by synergizing these activities with the many multidisciplinary teams and departments at BWH. To accomplish this goal and pursue our mission, we value innovation, creativity, and leadership. We see ourselves as a center for the development of new knowledge, new technologies, and new approaches to patient care. We strive to train the next generation of leaders who will continue to advance our core mission of delivering optimal patient outcomes using the latest scientific advances in medical imaging and science, tailored to each individual within a caring and compassionate environment.
