Thank you for your interest in the BWH Radiology Residency Program! We truly believe that our residency program is the best in the country, largely because of the special people in our “Brigham family”! We hope that by showcasing some of our residency’s and department’s strengths below, you will be able to get a sense of our diverse interests, creativity, and dedication to the future of radiology. Whether discussing interesting cases in the reading room, learning together at conference, or hanging out outside of work, our co-residents constantly inspire, challenge, and support us.
Our research interests are supported by the Clinician Scientist Research Pathway (CSRP), grants from both the department and hospital, and support to present at national and international conferences. Our experiences are enriched by the Center for Evidence-Based Imaging (CEBI) and the Center for Clinical Data Sciences (CCDS), which match clinicians and trainees with PhD scientists for collaborative efforts in machine learning, patient safety, and quality improvement research. If that isn’t enough, we are the home of first clinical 7 Tesla and one of the few 1 Tesla newborn scanners in the country.
Residency social events are frequent and range from program-sponsored outings to informal gatherings amongst residents. Monthly events are organized and funded by our very own residency Wellness Committee. Our annual fall residency retreat provides a forum to reflect on the program, inspire new endeavors, and play games. Aside from residency-associated activities, we are located a short walk from Fenway, down the street from two internationally known museums, and just a short train ride or free shuttle bus ride from Cambridge, Back Bay and the North End.
Resident education is prioritized at the reading room workstation and beyond. Our learning is enhanced by daily conferences, interesting case rounds in the reading rooms, the newly revamped resident intranet, Harvard Medical School teaching opportunities, departmental-funded access to numerous eBooks, and online radiology resources, just to name a few!
We are thrilled about your interest in our program and hope to meet you in person someday soon!
