Welcome to the BWH Department of Radiology Section of Neuroradiology and Neurointervention. We are comprised of a group of neuroradiologists and neurosurgeons subspecializing in diseases of the brain, spine, head & neck.

Diagnostic Imaging procedures of the nervous system include: myelography, computed tomography (CT), and magnetic resonance imaging (MRI). Advanced diagnostic modalities include: dynamic CT angiography and MR angiography, perfusion CT and MRI, and Functional Magnetic Resonance Imaging (fMRI).

Neurointervention performs both endovascular surgery and percutaneous spinal procedures.

Diagnostic Neuroradiology service provides consultation services for imaging disorders of the brain, spine, head and neck. Diagnostic neuroradiology procedures performed include: MRI (Magnetic Resonance Imaging), MRA (Magnetic Resonance Angiography), CT (Computerized Axial Tomography), CTA (Computerized Tomographic Angiography), Cerebral Angiograms, Myelograms, Plain-film radiography

Head, Neck and Spinal Intervention performs percutaneous procedures such as tissue biopsy, fluid aspiration for diagnosis and steroid injections for therapy.

The Section is actively involved in the research of disorders of the brain and spine. In addition, the Section is actively involved in Co-developing modern technologies for use in Neuroimaging and Neurointervention.
