At each of our locations, you will be cared for by breast experts from multiple specialties in a comforting, collaborative atmosphere. This multidisciplinary approach ensures that you receive the very best care for your unique needs.

If you are diagnosed with breast cancer, our breast surgeons provide the highest level of expertise as the surgical oncologists for the Dana-Farber Brigham Cancer Center, a unique alliance between Brigham and Women's Hospital, one of the country’s leading teaching hospitals, and Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, one of the country’s premiere cancer centers. Your surgeon is an integral part of a team that includes medical oncologists, radiation oncologists, breast imaging specialists, breast pathologists and plastic/reconstructive surgeons. He or she will be by your side throughout your breast cancer journey—providing surgical care personalized for your specific condition, including advanced options such as participation in clinical trials focused on tailoring local treatments to the individual patient, radioactive seed localization and nipple-sparing mastectomy.

You will meet with your multidisciplinary team at same-day visits for your initial consultation as well as during treatment. This makes appointment scheduling easier for you and enables immediate and interactive discussion between you and your caregivers. We also connect patients with an array of support and rehabilitation services so they can successfully complete their treatment course.

If you have concerns about your risk for developing breast cancer, our Breast cancer Personalized Risk assessment, Education and Prevention (B-PREP) Program offers an in-depth risk survey which allows your team to provide you with tailored screening recommendations, genetic counseling if needed, and education about prevention and risk-reducing options including novel clinical trials focused on lifestyle changes.
