The Ophthalmology Service for Brigham and Women’s Hospital (BWH) is deeply committed to providing the highest standards of excellence in medical and surgical eye care. We address the needs of our patients through access to world renowned eye care providers, comprehensive resources and state-of-the-art technologies.

Eye care services are provided by Mass Eye and Ear, specialists on the medical staff at BWH. We provide inpatient consult and trauma services on the BWH campus, and outpatient services and surgery at the nearby Mass Eye and Ear, Longwood outpatient center in the Longwood Medical Area.

Mass Eye and Ear is the primary academic center for the Harvard Medical School Department of Ophthalmology and has consistently ranked as a top five specialty provider in U.S. News & World Report’s Honor Roll of America’s Best Hospitals.
