Oral Medicine and Dentistry

The Division of Oral Medicine and Dentistry at Brigham and Women’s Hospital (BWH) provides oral medicine and dental services for medically complex patients. As a major referral center, we provide care for patients throughout New England and beyond. Our specialists are among the top oral medicine professionals in the world delivering treatment tailored to each patient.

Renowned for excellence in clinical care, research and education, the division supports a leading oral medicine residency program with a highly successful track record of training future leaders in the field of oral medicine.

The division has special expertise in providing oral health care for cancer patients and cancer survivors and our faculty are integral members of Dana-Farber Brigham Cancer Center. Clinical efforts are oriented towards diagnosis and management of acute and late/chronic oral complications related to cancer therapies.

Our multidisciplinary approach integrates the expertise of our specialists with the needs of patients. We create working partnerships with the patient and every member of the patient’s care team including referring physicians and dentists.
