Reconstructive Surgery at Brigham and Women’s Hospital

Reconstructive surgery requires expert surgeons and quality clinical care. These surgeries are performed on various parts of the body and are often the result of congenital defects, developmental abnormalities, trauma, infection, tumors, or disease. Reconstructive procedures are generally performed to enhance functionality but may also be done to achieve an improved appearance.

The size and experience of our group of plastic and reconstructive surgeons allows us to tailor specific, individual care to each of our patients. Reconstructive surgery is generally covered by most health insurance policies, although coverage for specific procedures and levels of coverage may vary greatly.
