The Breast Surgery Service at Brigham and Women’s Hospital (BWH) includes an experienced team of surgeons who work closely with you and your family—as well as referring physicians and other breast specialists within BWH—to diagnose and treat the full spectrum of breast conditions, including breast cancer. They perform thousands of surgical procedures each year for women and men with breast concerns. Our breast surgeons are physician-scientists who also lead pioneering research studies to improve cancer prevention, treatment and quality of life.
Under the leadership of Tari A. King, MD, our breast surgeons provide comprehensive care for patients with benign breast conditions and offer a specialized program for women at risk. In collaboration with Dana-Farber/Brigham and Women’s Cancer Center our surgeons care for patients diagnosed with all types and stages of breast cancer, including non-invasive and invasive, recurrent and advanced breast cancers. We offer specialty programs for young women, pregnant women, women with inflammatory breast cancer, women with metastatic cancer and for men with breast cancer.
Our comprehensive diagnostic, treatment and surgical services are available at three central locations: Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston, Brigham and Women’s Faulkner Hospital in Jamaica Plain and Dana-Farber/Brigham and Women’s Hospital in clinical affiliation with South Shore Hospital in Weymouth.
