Brigham and Women's Hospital's works with referring hospitals to deliver expert care to trauma and burn patients. To assist in providing outstanding patient care, the BWH Trauma and Burn Program presents patient follow-up to the physician and/or trauma nurse of the referring hospital.
Communication is conducted via follow-up letters and phone calls. The Trauma and Burn Program prepares reports relative to outcome, ISS, and disposition. We also provide regular on-site discussions of all transferred trauma patients.
