The Harvard Combined Endocrine Surgery Program is an integrated fellowship between Brigham and Women’s Hospital and Massachusetts General Hospital. It offers intensive clinical training with a multidisciplinary approach to the treatment of thyroid, parathyroid and adrenal diseases. Together, we perform more than 2,000 endocrine operations per year, of which fellows typically perform more than 300 cases (thyroidectomy, parathyroidectomy, neck dissection and adrenalectomy).
In addition to working with 11 different endocrine surgeons, fellows receive training from radiologists, pathologists and endocrinologists. We provide broad experience in complex endocrine surgical cases, including reoperative parathyroid surgery, minimally invasive adrenalectomy, locally advanced thyroid carcinomas and neck dissections.
Fellows participate in weekly conferences devoted to endocrine surgery and in a monthly multidisciplinary conference. In addition to clinical responsibilities, fellows will participate in research initiatives in endocrine surgery.
